It’s nice, but most people will not vote green. People would rather burn than change a single thing about their behavior, habits, and consumption.

Which they would have to at the moment, because clean forms of energy are not really available, especially so for low income people. Which is the point of this kind of protest. You know, to get world governments to stop propping up fossil fuels as their main national source of energy, and to redirect fossil fuel funding and research to clean energy sources. So that our planet can survive. So that you can survive to spew idiotic, bad faith, and weirdly spiteful comments.

      You complete bellend.

Lmao everyone jumping down my throat for being curious about something, starting to feel like reddit again 😂 for the record I support getting off fossil fuels and trying to reduce climate change, but these protests don’t seem to accomplish anything meaningful to me.

Usually these tactics are used deliberately to undermine protest movements. If that wasn’t your intention then I apologize for being less than polite. But surely you must see how that would be perceived.

Protests can definitely have an impact. It largely depends on their size and level of support in the public. The political situation also has an impact.

Yeah they should all do something useful with their lives, like making comments on the internet. That’ll save the world!

I mean it’s probably better for the environment.

Remember everyone, unless you’re a perfect human being who shits rainbows and gets around by riding a golden pegasus your views and criticisms can be immediately invalidated without further consideration.
