My Line6 Helix. Bought it 4 years ago. Everything I need in one unit. And it gets better with every firmware update.

Friend of mine has one and won’t stop praising it. Considering the price of decent pedals, it‘s even not that expensive. Do you think it would work well with bass too?

Yes, our bassplayer uses one too. It definitely has it’s focus on guitar. For example 80 guitar amps vs. 15 bass amps. But it works very well with bass.

The Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe V1 is my go to pedal for almost everything. It’s just so good. Brian Wampler just excels at drive pedals and I think this is one of the best.

Originates bough to do that Van Halen thing, but the tone and contour knobs plus the boost make is extra versatile. Use you guitar volume and it’ll clean up.

If it ever dies I’ll get another.

Actually Invaluable but not exciting - Boss TU-2/3. Accurate tuner pedal. Probably indestructible. I just realized when posting that I’ve had mine for 20 years.

The music school I work at just added tuner pedals to our rehearsal space and it’s been a godsend. No more clip-on tuners that don’t work, get dead batteries, and go missing every twenty fucking minutes. Just plug into one of the pedals either side of the stage and you’re good to go.

Boss GT-1000core is the centerpiece of my pedalboard and an essential part of the chain. I always use it, even if just as a routing hub for other pedals. I’m big into MIDI, so I use the GT’s extensive MIDI support to synchronize parameters for all my pedals as part of a GT patch.

Also while not all of the effects sound amazing, the number of effects available is pretty sizeable, so I can always add in some effect to my chain with the GT for some specific sound I am after even if I don’t have a dedicated pedal for that effect.
