The old say, “Health is wasted on the young”.

Well, I say, “Wealth is wasted on the old.”

    Opinions seem to be mixed.

I’ll add something. Have a reason to travel. No one needs the 50 Millionth asshole at the line to look at fontana de trevi when your local area has plenty of fountains for you to see. And they could do with the increased foot traffic.

Now, if you have a friend who is from italy and returning back home, and you miss them, fuck it, go see fontana de trevi at the same time, why not?

    young: time, able, no money

    middle: able, money, no time

    old: money, time, not able

you’re lucky if it’s different for you

There are cheap ways to travel and sleep if you are willing to put up with inconvenience and discomfort.

My mother did a lot of travelling when she was young, she said her friends were all getting married, building careers and buying houses, and she was starting from scratch.

If you don’t love the idea of travelling, I’d say start building your life and travel later in life, which is what I plan to do.

I spent all of my money on a trip right before the 2008 collapse, assuming I’d get a job easily when I got back. That was cool.
