First time posting here lol. I’m trying to be more open with myself and others.

Anyways this was probably the best outfit I’ve ever worn, definitely thanks to pointers and help from friends.

You’re failing Computer Organjzation, yes, but you’ve got a high A in Fashion Designs and Concepts. Maybe change major?

Comp org was a beast of a class when I took it 25 years ago, and it sounds like that hasn’t changed a bit. I didn’t pass it so much as I survived it. Pre-med students at my alma mater talked about organic chemistry being a weed out class, and I think comp org was a weed out class for our computer science program.

I encourage you to avail yourself of any tutoring resources that may be available to you, including fellow students, because dropping or failing could delay your graduation by a semester or more. Depending on the size of your university, the structure/curriculum map of your program, how often the classes are offered, etc.

You have my utmost sympathy for what you’re going through, both in terms of academics and gender identity/dysphoria. Hang in there.

My college is primarily a medical school so the CompSci program isn’t all that great. We really haven’t gotten super in depth in CompOrg, but I feel like I can understand the material. The issue for me isn’t that, the issue is my fucking professor is a meat proxy! Everything in the class is AI generated. The powerpoint slides, the quizzes, the HWs, the in class assignments, the motherfucking exams, everything! “It’s not x it’s y”, rule of 3s, “this never that”, I fucking hate it! I don’t go to lectures because of this bullshit, I even tried in good faith to learn through this crap and it makes no fucking sense! I’ve instead been trying to read the textbook (which, I haven’t seen any AI tells so far), but I struggle understanding on my own with this shit.

      It’s so ass

I can’t believe they make people pay so much money, go into debt slavery, for education of this quality. It’s not fair.

That sucks I’m sorry, I’d be pretty annoyed if any of my professors did that. Hopefully you don’t have them in any of your other classes.

Ah to be young and pretty! I really love this look for going out, the shoes especially look great and look comfy. Fishnets look amazing you on too!

Edit: just noticed the necklace and it’s my new favorite thing.

One of my favorite things is helping people understand CS. What’s the current subject? we’ll see how much I remember from my architecture classes

Currently the processor. We’re not going super in depth, at least I can’t tell if we are yet or not. I need to understand the control flow or whatever it’s called, how things flow through a processor for any given instruction. That and the control row p much. I might need to view a YT video to visualoze it better because I don’t know how much help the textbook will actually be.

Oh, this sounds like computer engineering. In my CS courses, we only covered the logic gates, how they’re used to do math, and that kind of stuff. Sorry I couldn’t be much help :/

Yeah it’s weird because I’m in computer science under liberal arts college, not engineering college, Idk why it’s part of my degree program.

What a coincidence, I also went to a liberal arts college! My program didn’t have a required, proper CE course. It totally makes sense why they’d put in that as a requirement though. Even though I know I’d suffer through that class too, I wish I knew more about the applied science

Huh, my school calls that class “Computer Architecture”. As far as I know, Compuer architecture 1 is not really all too bad and I have yet to finish the second course, but professors I have for both are both pretty good at teaching, so that probably helps.

I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what it was. Computer Architecture was definitely one of the hardest classes I took, among cryptography and algorithms.

Oh ok. I seem to remember that being almost like an EE class. Logic gates. Circuits. I thought I was going to hate it, because I thought I’m a software person, fuck this hardware shit. But it turns out I really liked that class and did well in it.
