On Monday, the office of the Mississippi attorney general, Lynn Fitch, announced that the police shooting of Kohen Wiley, a one-year-old, as he sat in his mother’s lap “was justified”. The statement came four months after the baby was killed in Senatobia, Mississippi.
On 14 June, officers in Senatobia, a small city near Memphis, were responding to a shoplifting call alleging Vellesiya Wiley, the baby’s mother, and Latoya Ferrell, a friend, had stolen a pack of diapers. Neither woman has been charged with a crime. Officials have not released any evidence of shoplifting.
According to police reports, on the day of the shooting, the women and child exited the store, entered their vehicle and began to leave the parking lot when officers arrived.
The police drew their weapons. Wiley lifted the baby up to indicate that there was a child in the car. An officer, identified by other records as Sgt Hunter Foster, fired into the vehicle, killing Kohen Wiley and wounding Ferrell. Foster is white; both Wileys and Ferrell are Black.
Insane. It’s fucking shoplifting. Absolutely nuts loss of moral character in this country.

She was holding the child up to show the cop pointing a gun at her, that the baby was in the car. The cop didn’t accidentally shoot a baby.
The cop shot the baby as he was being held up, like the baby was a clay pigeon.
I have no words for how much this makes my fucking blood boil. She was shoplifting diapers and you killed her kid. Who was she fucking endangering that you killed a 1 year old? I have a lot of very angry words and wishes towards those racist pieces of dog shit. I hope there’s a hell so I can watch them fucking burn for all of eternity.

I agree, that’s worse. Though, to be honest, we all know she was shot at because she’s black and no other real reason. Her breathing was enough to justify bullets in the eyes of these monsters.

Want get angrier, she wasn’t shop lifting. The a ledge thief NEVER happen. No some white women called the police because she claimed to seen a black woman steal diapers. The whole city should riot until the entire city council, mayor and this Attorney General resigns in shame. The whole fucking town are racist.
I’m surprised the police hasn’t yet made a statement that “at least they solved the cause for her criminal activities”…
