I spent about a half hour with Google support, until he told me to remove and reinstall my Google account and I lost the chat. It took a long time to get to that chat, but I think it is a Google problem not Boost.

Originally, I tried using a family group payment to remove the ads, my wife tried but failed to get it to work. We ended up deleting the family group but now whenever I try to pay it gives me a message to wait or ask the group manager to deny the request - problem is the request is history with no way to access it again. Google support was worthless, had me try different devices and resetting things but I tried until I was cut off after clearing my Google account and starting it again. I will gladly pay but unable to pay, all I get is a message telling me to wait 24 hours, even though it has been over 24 hours.

After we deleted the group , my wife had no trouble paying to remove the ads on her tablet, and as I wrote we deleted the family group, it is gone. Maybe if I could purchase Boost for Lemmy before I install it, things will go better. We both have Samsung S6 lites using LineagesOS 20, updated weekly. I do not think it is the tablets, Google support had me try it on my Chromebook and it was the same.

Once again, I think it is a Google family group payment problem, but thought I better mention it.

I was able to contact Google Support the second time using a Chromebook but they dropped me because it was taking me too long to make a screenshot of the problem. It did say I could go through the entire process again.

It is going on 3 days, every android device registered to me continues to do the same thing, after several hours of removing and installing by direction of Google Support it is still the same. I suspect it has nothing to do with either the app or my devices, I strongly suspect it has to do with the Google payment system not clearing the request. As much as I would like to get it fixed, I really am tired of dealing with Google Support, they are pleasant but worthless.

Yesterday I tried Google Support yet again, same as before, he wanted me to reboot, remove and install everything including Google account again. After I refused to keep doing the same things over and over again he said he would elevate it to the next level of support and they would contact me via email. I am waiting for the email. It would be nice to be able to purchase the “remove ads” but I do not think that is going to happen any time soon.

Still no fix from Google Support, they do not send the transcripts I requested each time I contacted them, I did get an email to rate Google Support and I gave them a poor rating.
