Can’t do polls here so we’ve go two options.

  1. A poll on mastodon, if you have an account that can see it and respond: https://hachyderm.io/@maegul/110603767952062644
  2. Use upvotes on top level comments here as voting. Please refrain from adding top level comments, or any comments if possible … just upvote the option that is the most active you’ve been.

The comments will be

  1. I’ve written a post or more
  2. I’ve only commented on or replied to a post
  3. I’ve only up/down voter posts/comments
  4. I’ve only lurked.

Sorting by New should show them in order.

Same here. I was primarily a lurker on reddit, but have been forcing myself to post comment and engage more on Lemmy. Doing my part to help Lemmy grow however small it may be.

        Edited for clarity.

    1. On reddit it wasn’t often if ever I really ever posted anything, and so far it’s the same here. I usually would just up vote posts/comments or just answer questions on askreddit out of boredom.

I am steadily ramping up my participation as more content is added. I tend to respond more than post, but I am doing both.

From back when I was 12 or so, playing Unreal Tournament 2004. I don’t remember exactly how it started. You?

It’s a tolkein LOTR thing. I don’t think it’s a word that comes up anywhere in the books, but you might notice it’s similar to other words like “Dol Guldur”. The back of the Silmarillion has a short dictionary/glossary of words and word components, and so I grabbed two and put them together. “Maegul” should mean something like sharp or piercing sorcery/magic.
