And vice versa I guess.

Is it possible? Will they get reports? Messages? Can they do mod actions?

I’ve found previously that Lemmy content on kbin gets delayed, and edits and comments don’t transfer perfectly.

Also there’s that remote mod bug, which I hear is fixed in 18.x. Are there any other potential issues with remote mods?

Federated Auth for mods & admins could use a big guide, I also am curious how it works.

The remote mod bug is fixed as long as your community is on 0.18. My community was suffering from it and it is fixed now. As for other issues, I’m not sure. I have one mod account on lemmy.world and one mod account on lemmy.ml, the only thing I’ve noticed is that the feeds look very different. Different number of posts and comments and upvotes depending on what account I’m looking at it with. Lemmy.world is still on 0.17.4 while lemmy.ml is on 0.18.0. So I’m hoping when everyone is on 0.18 this should resolve itself.

If your community is not on 0.18 yet, just avoid remote modding for now to avoid the bug.

Yea good thing I wasn’t tempted to add my Lemmy.ml acct as mod to my communities hah. Well now some kbin people showed interest in modding, so we might be back to a similar problem.

Yeah, j would just hold off until 0.18/0.18.1 is well established. It made my community undiscoverable for about a week. Really stalled my growth and was very frustrating.
