It’s strangely inconsistent, as I will have no issues with a channel of say, Beehaw, but a different channel from Beehaw will not allow me to interact with it in any way.

I went and accidentally posted there. Works and I see some other lemmy.world users there too. Maybe you accidentally exited the lemmy.world version or there was something else? Does it work via this: https://lemmy.world/post/39093
I tried again through your link and it’s letting me upvote, and reaching the channel through @world’s communities tab also lets me interact with it. Maybe I was indeed trying to access it through a wrong URL. Thanks!
