I just found Liftoff! and I have to say I like it so far. It still has some issues but I see the devs are on it so for now this is the one for me.

But that might change once Sync For Lemmy comes out :)

    Currently using Jerboa.

I was using this one before, but since lemmy.world is not upgraded to lemmy v0.18 yet Jerboa was giving me random crashes. Browsing is fine but it would crash even when I was just trying to upvote things. You don’t have any issues then?

Except for the notification at the start, about the server version, I don’t have issues no. It’s not the prettiest client, but it gets the job done.

I’m currently switching between thunder and jerboa. Both are very good but thunder lacks features and jerboa crashes with instances not running lemmy 0.18.

I tried Thunder. I love that it uses flutter, like Liftoff does but it won’t let me sort by top day/top week etc which is a drawback for me. But it does a few things better than liftoff so I have it still installed atm :)

No clear winner for me yet but it’s cool to see how many devs are jumping on it.

Yeah, I’m still waiting for future updates to see which one will be my main one. But it’s nice to have different options, especially when their development is going so fast.

    https://wefwef.app

Looks and acts like Apollo on iOS. Very fast. It’s no “app” jusr website that you can add as homepage icon.

I installed jerboa and thunder to test out. Jerboa is promising and very active. However for now I stick to the site of my instance installed as progressive web app, I think it’s the most useable (the only drawback is the lack of infinity scrolling).

Yes PWA is also what I always used as a backup because it has the mod and admin tools available.

I’ve only checked out Jerboa for now (first trying to learn to find my way around Lemmy itself), but a cursory search shows me there’s quite a few apps that are being developed! I wonder which one will become the standards.

Yep, I was also just interested in seeing what’s out there. Connect For Lemmy is another one I’m giving a go.

I’m using Memmy. The developer is going really fast. It has the Apollo feel but it ofcourse lacks some features.

I’ve mostly been connecting via the browser, but tried Jerboa a few weeks ago and it seems decent.

There’s a breaking API change on Lemmy 18.0 though, so Jerboa cannot work with instances <18.0. And since the Captcha feature won’t be added before 18.1, it seems that some instances wait for that release in order to upgrade, so unless this takes too long I’ll just keep using the web version.

I like that there’s several alternatives though, and hope it stays that way - it might be healthier for Lemmy development to focus on a good API rather than interoperability with the one app that the majority uses.

Switching between Jerboa, Summit and Connect for Lemmy atm but haven’t found ‘the one’ yet as I’m waiting for all the features I need to be in one app that looks and feels good.

iOS → Mlem app (currently in open beta on TestFlight) very good so far

Definitely hoping for Sync For Lemmy to come out. I’ve used redditsync pro for so long it’s hard to imagine another interface on mobile. Need to start experimenting with other apps so I’m ready for when reddit starts becoming unusable on mobile.
