MultiVersus has officially been shut down until early 2024 and players have taken to social media to share their mixed feelings over its hiatus.

I had a lot of fun with this game but the developers have made the very weird decision of temporarily shutting down the game until next year.

The devs said they’re going to rebuild parts of the game and add way more content and do a sort of “soft reboot”. They announced this plan in March, but the game has officially shut down today.

    Thought the game was good at first, but eventually it just grew boring and found the online fighting to be not great. They probably shouldn’t have released in the state it did and had more characters and ranked finished before release.
