It makes sense. The other Google apps can generally be installed on other phones, but this has always been Nexus/Pixel exclusive (when installed from the play store).
Hasn’t always, used to run Google Camera on my Moto G.
You mean…back when Google owned Moto, and Moto manufactured the Nexus?
