Lol I don’t know about the USS liberty
Israel was dumb as fuck and attacked the ship, thinking it was an Egyptian ship:
The combined air and sea attack killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two marines, and one civilian NSA employee), wounded 171 crew members, and severely damaged the ship.
The US had a radio intercept flight in the area Israel didn’t know about, which heard the pilots identify the US flag before attacking (discussed in the book “Body of Secrets” about the NSA). This was swept under the rug, but the Israeli fighters knew they were attacking a US ship, which was in conveniently close to some reported mass graves.
Wow, that’s even worse than I thought. How so many people simp for Israel is beyond me…
