Adams told the paper that the photo was “always in my wallet until my wallet got too bulky,” so he said he transferred it to a money clip. “He was a very dear friend and it keeps me committed,” the mayor said of Venable.

And yet they had to fake the photo? So believable.

Every time a politician opens their mouth I assume they’re lying.

Same with a cop. Guess what Eric Adams was before he became mayor?

            Good training ground I guess.

Centrist “Democrats” in solid blue districts aren’t “the left”, even in the muted sense of the broad American left, they’re the right with just enough sense to file away or discard the rough spots to get elected. Conservatives still exist in these blue areas, just not enough to win outright, and they’re the major component of a centrist “Democrat’s” coalition.

I know. The UU I donate money to has hit capacity as well. This isn’t great. Private charities can do an awesome job at helping the people who slip between the cracks or helping causes that are considered low priorities by most people but they can’t replace the ability of the government to work at scale. Food banks are not food stamps, a food bank can shore up food stamps but it can’t replace it.

I would volunteer my home again but honestly I am tired from doing it the last time.
