Apple will ship a systemwide back button without needing to touch the damn upper left and call it “innovation”

It’s not universal. It’s per app.

If I’m in my email, and someone sends me a PDF or a web link, I can use the back button to go back to my email when I’m done looking at the content.

Well, where’s the turbo button? Are you saying iPhones don’t have turbo??

No they don’t. They haven’t even been out long enough for an OLED screen to burn in even if it was on 24/7 at full brightness. It’s a bug and it’s fixed in the latest OS update.

It’s more of luck of the dice when dealing with OLED burn-ins. I’ve got OLED phones that are 6 years old with no signs of burn-ins but I’ve seen 2 year old phones with heavy burn-ins. Although usage patterns might contribute to the probability of having a burn in.

Although the iPhone 15 Pro is an abnormal case signifying that either there are panel or display drivers issues.

Mine is 5 years old and pretty much uniform when showing white. I’ve been rotating the position and size of system icons ever since I got it in early 2023. However, after the previous owner, there is a vaguely shaped, soft-edged area in the bottom where dark colors (or any colors at low brightness) are noticeably darker than elsewhere. The blue channel is affected most so a hue shift occurs as well. It somewhat ruins the HDR experience of an OLED.

I think they fixed this in the latest 17.1 iOS update

Such a revolutionary technology. If only some other company had previous experience with it and already developed some mitigations for it… /s
