Seems like a reverse grid based on qualifying would just incentivize poor qualifying effort. What the format has going for it now is the single practice session and the condensed qualifying format. If we got rid of qualifying for a sprint race, maybe reverse the grid based on drivers standings or maybe even constructors standings. Offer points for overtakes or something. There has to be incentives to win and to race hard. Even so, the current format has had some fun results and I like the pressure it puts on the teams to get FP1 right.

Qualifying on Friday, reverse grid order sprint race Saturday, normal grid race Sunday. Seems like a lot of fun actually

To be honest when they introduced two rounds of qualifying for the go and then the sprint I thought that was redundant. This makes more sense

I still feel that teams that usually run at the back might still game it to get a sprint pole. I’d like to see the sprint be reverse championship order and set the grid for the GP.

        How about this

Practice Friday, reverse standings sprint order Saturday early, qualifying & Parc fermé Saturday late

Id love to see teams able to innovate in the sprint without being forced to be locked in all weekend.

Bernie, this is why you don’t smoke weed and do F1 at the same time…
