Using WinToUSB I made an existing Win11 externally bootable as my Laptop only has one NVME slot.
But not on some starts it just loads and loads and I have no idea what it does, but it doesnt stop.
I found maany ways to remove this but only when you are booted, which I cant even do.
Do you know how I can remove this “repairing disk” thing, and the “system repair” which is simply garbage?
Thanks!
Check for bitlocker settings.
Edit: no shit I cant read it anymore! Damn so I guess I will simply reinstall Windows with Rufus. I only need… a working Windows for that…
I don’t know what linux you have but you don’t windows here’s an easy step by step with unetbootin. It doesn’t need to be ubuntu even though the guide says.

Here is a how to with Ventoy that is a much more flexible however a bit more complicated

Hm, the problem is that it needs to be a uefi compatible windows usb stick, as for some damn reason my UEFI doesnt allow legacy boot, even though its set. Levovo Thinkpads are shit nowadays…
Reread that ventoy article. Also all USB drives are UEFI compatible. UEFI just reads the boot medium. I’ve made many a bootable Windows USB with Ventoy you can even skip the TPM check on Windows 11
Hm I can view the drive from Linux so I think its not encrypted
Windows has some quick shutdown feature. I think if you then look at the drive from another OS it messes something up. Maybe it’s that.
Maybe it wasnt really shut down too, so yes good point!
