I love this thing. I wanted a Volcano for years. It feels like both science and magic at the same time. I can put enough flowers into me to be as stoned as I need to be without the gross respiratory effects. I’ve always struggled to use flowers through the winter months when holiday anxiety redoubles my weed need. Between this and my employee discount, I bet I can avoid my traditional holiday season drinking. If I can manage that, it’ll have paid for itself twice. It was expensive af, but I paid for $200 of it with a gift card I got from a sales competition. So far it has been 100% worth it.

EDIT: Sync doesn’t display my extra pictures! =O

Welcome to the club! 💚Am literally looking at your photo in the same pose you’re in😂

I got mine (a hybrid) a couple of years back and it has been a game changer, it’s paid for itself in how much less bud I use within a few months, and while I still cough quite a lot (easily irritated I guess), nothing actually comes up anymore like it used to on splifs.

Are you collecting your vaped stuff? Meant to be able to use it to make edibles, my first attempt didn’t go that well (actually thanks for the reminder, I’ve been meaning to post a question about this), but others seem to get good results.

I decided to save on the classic version. I also cough gram anything, but like you don’t have gross long term side effects.

I’m definitely collecting ABV. An easy way to use it is just toss it as is into chili. The smoky, herbal flavors of the ABV go great with the rich, smoky flavors of the chili. It’s already decarbed and available. You just have to get it into you in a large enough amount to get high.

I have OCD (the actual kind), so the lack of knobs and a smooth wipe-clean surface was worth the extra cost for me, otherwise I’d have definitely gone for the regular one.

The chilli sounds like a great idea, but I’m not really able to cook often so it might not be the best solution for me (absolutely will try it though next time I do cook something chilli-like!)… I also already have a large batch of cannabutter I made, but like you say, you need loads to get high, so I’ve not figured out how to use it yet without giving myself indigestion😂

You could get canned chili. I like Chili Man, but it’s not Peggy Hill’s Frito Pie without Wolf Brand Chili! But yeah, anything sort of rich and savory works. Fresh weed flavor is great in Italian food. I haven’t tried ABV like that, but I imagine it could be good in a white sauce dish.

We’ve had a few smaller dry herb vapes. Our usage is just too much for them. And I don’t host super often, but just about everyone I do host is a dispensary coworker with a higher tolerance than me! We’d clog the pax and spend half our time cleaning it. I spend less time cleaning the volcano if only because it’s designed for high volume use.

The pax isn’t really a measurement for a good portable. Try something like a tinymight 2 or the new S&B venty

Those are both, especially the Venty, at a “why not just get a volcano?” price point. We don’t need dry herb vaporization on the go. I can pack the Ooze Beacon with some concentrate or a bring a cart for that. I just need something to go through some flowers at home. And I’ll be honest: I still don’t trust either of those to keep up with the sheer volume of flower we can use here. A sturdy stationary model is ideal for our usage.

I’m glad it works for you :) I’m saying this because you talked about the pax, a portable. Idk about the venty, but the TM is well worth it and might perform better then a volcano, and ofc milk a bong. You might want to read about it on fuckcombustion or something before ruling it out. Also, check out some ball vapes if you want to upgrade yourself to something heavier.

Congratz and welcome to the club 😁 If I may give some hints as a fellow volcano

    1. once the bag is gunked up, cook it in milk to get the chocolate milk of a lifetime 😂
    2. you can eat the already vaped bud by itself and it will work like an edible (the taste is not the best though)
    3. in my country we have oven bags / turkey bags which are up to 9ft, if you can find these or maybe online, they are a cheaper bag replacement
    4. With enough force even the one time use mouth pieces can be reused. it take a lot of force though to dislodge the inner metal ring that keeps the baloon in place.
    5. if the black mouth piece starts to form a layer of hash, i just reverse a long paper and fold it along its long axis and run it through like a pipe cleaner, i you roll a joint with that it will basically be supercharged.
    6. let the first 3 seconds go without the balloon and then pop the ballon on to only catch vapor

Yeah, I already knew or figured out most of that. Some of the bag tips are new. Definitely collecting ABV. Throw some ABV in your next bowl of chili. It’s a treat.

Haven’t had chilli in a while, would love to try this out! Have only made/had sweet edibles so far.

Yes!! Congrats! The Lamborghini of vaporizers. Mine has been on for 6-8 hours a day for the last two years (not sure they intended that kind of usage 🤷‍♂️), and it is just as good as the day I bought it. Really shows what good quality, well made hardware can get you.

    Use it well!

Longevity is what I was hoping for! I’ve had a handful of dry herb vapes that just couldn’t keep up with or maintain my use needs. Part of why I went with the classic is that the lack of conduction element means the weed in the basket doesn’t dry out or lose potency. My friend who has the digital says that the conduction element will slowly cook her flowers if she leaves it on and makes the basket too hot to touch for a while after turning it off. We do leave it on for long periods of time, and your endorsement will probably have us leaving it on more. Heat cycling can be worse for some equipment than staying hot.

Ah yeah, good point. I should clarify: I have the hybrid, and I leave the vaporizer itself on all day, but I remove the basket after I fill the bag each time. It definitely will cook the herbs if I leave the basket on.

Eventually I’ll figure out the best method for using the whip, but you just can’t beat a full bag of vapor imo!
