Those are hopeful words for today after the speaker of the House of Representatives election! I hope you are right.

I’d really like to hear from clergy members who aren’t believers or haven’t been for a while, but for whom a support network would be beneficial. I am myself a strong atheist (I have a positive belief that zero gods exist), just as a point of reference, and I’m perfectly happy to discuss any aspect of any religion, or the anthropological or social roles of religions in history and today.

I’m saying the above to contextualize my question, which is whether a site like this is over the top to the point of driving well meaning people away. I’ve been at a number of crossroads in my own life, professionally and personally, and I’m just wondering if this site is a safe space for people who left or are considering leaving religion-as-profession, or if it comes off as over-enthusiastic.
