I, for one, love that the physical reality is of course immune to human’s con man fuckery and can’t be bribed, threatened, blackmailed, assassinated, dissappeared, or otherwise coerced by humans, despite humans trying as if this was just another human on human problem that could be “solved” with snake oil propaganda, as we do with so many humanitarian crises we simply convince ourselves aren’t. Visit your local tent city if you need clarification.

The physics are determinate, the inevitable reaction to our careless, kick the can down the road actions. All we keep learning is that we keep underestimating those consequences. The bill comes due, always.

We’re about to elect a party that voted not to admit climate change is real.

The CP are deniers, the LP are aware but don’t care, the NDP would have no idea what to do with power if they had it.

They got us (much higher) CERB and national Dental while in 3rd place, I imagine they could do it.

Plus what’s the alternative, the two parties we know won’t do anything?

            According to Canadian MSM, yes.

The media has been promoting this attitude for decades, and literally the only reason they have to say this is that NDP has never been in power before. It’s such incredibly circular logic, I’m amazed how often it gets repeated uncritically. All major parties have platforms, party offices, candidates who can be contacted. A shakeup is needed (NDP, Green, a mishmash of independents, whatever), but with that shut door logic there will NEVER be a time that people can elect anybody other than the ones most likely to take their place as leaders for granted and forget they’re public servants.

I mean the NDP can’t even keep its own house in order. But in the end they need good leadership, and I’m not a fan of their current leaders. I don’t like the leaders of any of the parties though, and I just wish someone good would come along and take down Trudeu and the CP
