The board has banned “critical race theory” and decried ethnic studies, but a local group of Black mothers has a plan. “We’re going to use what’s available to us—the right we have as citizens to recall."

If these were right wing mothers they’d have 6000 people descend on the town for every meeting. Krystal and saager, PBD and Joe Rogan would be giving them all interviews bringing their issue to millions of viewers every day. They’d receive weeks worth of updates on fox news. Ben Shapiro would DESTROY the school board with facts and logic /s

But they’re fighting the right so best we can do is a ‘good luck ladies’

If this all sounds familiar, it’s because Temecula is far from alone in its struggle—even in California, where Ethnic Studies will soon be a graduation requirement for public high schools. Faux-grassroots groups like Moms for Liberty have strategically taken control of school boards, attacked curricula, banned books, and harassed educators across the country for teaching about race and gender.

They’re certainly trying to do this in our district. We have 3 board positions up for grabs this year. There are 3 candidates being backed by a PAC called " (district name) Parents". 90% of their funding is coming from people that don’t actually live in our district.

Good luck with that. Temecula is pretty conservative

It really is. I happened to be in a bar there with some friends when the whole place got down on a knee to pray when God Bless the USA started playing on the radio. Not even joking. It was surreal seeing hundreds of people all stop what they were doing (including drinking and hitting on each other) to pray because a song came on the radio.
