I uploaded a test exe in a private Discord server… and a little while later Discord edited my message and deleted my exe. Understandable why, but still unexpected!

If you want to use discord but still prefer them not scanning the file. Password zip are easiest solution, bit hassle, but antivirus will skip over it.

Don’t expect anything you write on a platform controlled by a private entity to be safe, ever.

Or anywhere in general for that matter. The only place your thoughts are safe is in your head. For now at least…

It surprised me! I thought they would have warned the user or deleted the message, but nope, they edit it…

If it’s something that needs to be accessible for a while, I put mine up on mega, Dropbox, or google drive.

Google Drive has cracked down a bit on what types of files they support. They actually banned me from uploading for a few days from uploading and sharing an exe lol

That’s nuts… What about nesting it in a zip, rar, or 7z?

I’m surprised. They never gave me a hard time doing emulator packages. We had to send preconfigured stuff for races and events and they never batted an eye.

I don’t think Dropbox deletes your files, that’s what I usually use
