Despite my attempts to be stealthy, I tend to be spotted at some point anyway

There are sneak missions in this game that are straight up IMPOSSIBLE. The fixer will just have to be mad or so it themselves next time - get off my dick Regina.

You can slice and dice the cyber psychos all you like. As long as you don’t damage them after they drop to zero, they’ll just be unconscious, even with lethal weapons

Yep, as a Netrunner, I basically load things I shouldn’t outright kill full of Synapse Burnout quickhacks. Dunno why a quickhack that produces that many sparks so close to the skull is non-lethal, but whatevs.

Not if you make every weapon you use nonlethal.

Or use quickhacks that only hit once/don’t do DOT, such as Synapse Burnout.

Yeah what gets me is some missions that say no killing will go fine as long as I stick to nonlethal but others seem to fail if combat happens at all.

I managed to ghost quite a few gigs and main plot missions. But since crafting components can no longer be bought in stores, that approach became detrimental in my opinion. I stopped ghosting and suddenly I can upgrade my cyberdeck and use the new, shiny hacks that I’ve bought

Even in the sneak / no detection missions I make it a point to silently murder everyone. Can’t waste that loot plus it’s just safer.

I recommend a deck to do ping for vision or distract to position enemies, and possibly system resets on targets like snipers etc. On roofs. Optical camo, its related perk points and of course crouch sprint are also brilliant for this kind of sneak assault.

The only sad thing about doing it this way is you barely get to hear the badass combat music because you are, well, never in combat unless you fucked up or it’s a boss.
