I was trying to find a way to search if anyone requested a search function
Would definitely like to see this. On Apollo you could pull down slowly from the top in a subreddit’s home feed and it would reveal a search box that let you do a search in the subreddit you were on.
Does any app have this? I have a handful of them installed and none appear to have the functionality. Wonder if it’s a limitation of the API.
The lemmy.world website has an option to search within a specific community. (The UI is different from what I suggested but the functionality should be there)
