Support for SDL and Linux’s threading model means that Dwarf Fortress might soon be available on Linux machines.

As amazing and cool as proton is It’s always cool to see native Linux ports.

The windows version runs well under proton on Linux. Always good to have a native build though!

Dwarf Fortress has been available on Linux for a very long time. The Arch wiki page about the game was created in 2013!
I think that they’re talking about the new graphical release on Steam.
I mean, it works fine on Linux under Proton, Steam’s WINE build, but I suppose having a native build is nice, means not needing the compatibility infrastructure.
