I played Quake 4 when I was like 10. Didn’t make it past the conveyor belt.

Can you give a quick synopsis about why you feel this way?

Some visual elements and music could be described as decently unsettling for a children’s game. Its central conflict also plays with themes of mortality, doom, and the concept of running out of time and the end of the world.

For me, only one. Doom 3. It’s the only game that has managed to scare the shit out of me. I was expecting something similar to Doom (1993) or Doom II (1995) but with better graphics. Not complaining, great game but damn did they max out the creepy at the start of the game.

Aliens VS predators 2 (the 1998 one) was oppressive for the human side of the campaign. I am not sure I ever got all the way through it. Enemies were everywhere, the beginning moments were very tense and honestly I don’t remember ever feeling like I ever had enough ammunition. Playing as aliens and predators were amazing and fun experiences, but that human campaign left me in the dumps every time.

If you don’t want to be haunted by a video game, do not under any circumstances play Drawn to Life 2 to the very end. Shit goes from one to eleven fast.

Also strangely where even if it did you don’t regret experiencing it
