Personal terms agreed weeks ago and face to face talks between clubs made it clear: the agreement is done.

    So we started the bid at 40m, Chelsea wanted 70m. Both sides end up at 55m with 5m addon. Not exactly sure what the addons conditions are but I heard its difficult to meet. In the event Mason meet those addons conditions, we’d be ecstatic to pay Chelsea that 5m. So really, it feels like the deal is at 55m.

    With that being said, how do we feel about this deal?

    I feel like its a fair deal. The “real” price is closer to 55m than the reported 60m. To me 55m is the right aMount.

      I said when it was first reported we were in for him I wouldn’t want to go above 60. It’s a big spend but I’m pretty happy about it

    Amazing. Yup, 5 mil more. But honestly, that’s not too bad.

    Get Onana and Højlund and I’ll unclench. Can’t wait to see Mount though.

      Not even “5 mil more” most likely.

      Orny reports that the 5M bonuses are hard ones.

      It seems like the deal we put on the table was basically 50M + 5M of fairly easy bonuses. What we agreed to is 55M + 5M of the Balon d’Or special.

      Realistically, we probably aren’t out any more money. If we are, it’ll have been fucking worth it.
