The people at The Escapist left/were fired and now formed Second Wind.

Anthony/Ian bought back Smosh from Rhett and Link (Who saved them after their parent company Defy went under)

College Humor is now independent as Dropout after their parent company went under.

Overall I think most people agree not being under a corporation is good for content quality. Is there any content creator you hope becomes independent next? Or think will benefit from it?

A lot of Podcast creators I wish were independent. I listen to a lot of former How Stuff Works network podcasts, but they were bought up by I Heart Radio and I just hate the constant throwing to random ads. At least they still are able to say whatever they want it seems, as evidenced by Behind The Bastards, but yeah, wonder what going independent would even look like for them

Was Yahtzee one of those people?

I think Nostalgia Critic needs to go back to being truly independent, seems like he has difficulty handling multiple people.

I never really knew Good Mythical Morning was some channel that’s associated with a company. I’d like to see them do their own thing.

      Yep yahtzee left!

Which really is the big one to most folks. I always assumed he like owned the channel with how he was the number one draw.
