Despite owning all the content except for Journey to Batuu and over half the kits, I decided not to buy the last few kits as by buying them I am telling EA they don’t need to do any gameplay stuff packs/etc – that I am happy to just buy low effort kits.

BUT be mindful that I’m also a PC player so I can use CC if I want.

honestly ea’s cashgrabs are getting behind ridiculous and I’ve already spent the better part of a grand on the game! I’m 100% looking forward to the new competitors coming in the next few years, hopefully it’ll give ea a kick up the preverbial backside

Agreed. I looking forward to playing Paralives and Life By You. And my first thought/hope when EA implemented round walls in Sims 4, was that EA was feeling pressure from Paralives already having round walls. Could have been coincidence of course, but I can still hope. :D

I loved sims 2 (everything is great but there’s loading screens) and sims 3 (no loading screens, but pudding faces). I ordered sims 4 thinking it was going to be an improvement … and I didn’t like it. Sims 4 at launch was horrible for me. I waited thinking it would get better, came back when they finally added the toddler stage and I still didn’t like it? I mean I love how you can manipulate the body directly instead of sliders in CAS but they also got rid of create-a-style which sucks and makes clothes/furniture less interesting. They made the baby stage into a bassinet object too. I only play family legacy style so idk I didn’t like it that much. Sims also need way more traits to be interesting and diet preferences, for instance, aren’t really a trait. And sims can get so emotional that they just die? Idk. I’ll be waiting to see what future games are like.

I haven’t gotten them. I use PC so if I want new CAS, I just get CC. Honestly though, I have all the expansions and a lot of game packs, which contains enough CAS and build for me.

Yeah I don’t think there’s a CC equivalent for the modular book shelves, so I can see that really appealing to people. I almost got it for that, but then I remembered I hardly use the Dream Home Decorator modular content so I’m holding off. I’m sure more dedicated builders really appreciate the book shelves.

I have a fully cracked game and haven’t used anything from those since they came out. Grunge is completely forgettable. Book nook is sorta nice if you really want it.

Outside of having very strong opinions on the existence of kits: I like the content! They’re far more interesting and useful to me than some other kits.

I really like them, they are just my style, but to be fair a lot of the kits actually are, I’m quite surprised by that actually.

I actually want a bunch of the kits but they’re too expensive for what they are IMO
