Any tips to make cats pose for you?

Use treats or toys, whichever your cat likes. No surprise here, but laser pointers are especially effective for getting your cat to look somewhere in particular. When you’re taking the photo, get down to their eye level for more of a connection. Use a camera with a fast shutter speed, since they’re going to move no matter what you do. Use natural light, it looks best with their fur.

You can suggest they do things with bribes, doesn’t guarentee anything.

I think you can if the community enabled it AND its a gif from giphy.

so needlessly restrictive I remember it being part of some weird paid “turbo” thingy (I think it was kind of like discord server nitro boosting) as well >_>

Take 1,000 photos over several days. Delete the 997 bad ones.

This is actually the correct answer. There is a video on youtube about a professional cat photographer its pretty much take 1000 pics, delete 997.

Tips for posing cats: sit there and observe, hope that they want to pose, otherwise, you’re just going to lose, because cats don’t serve you. You serve cats!

The best way to get them to pose for you is to wait for a few hours with your camera at hand and then put it away in a difficult to reach place. The cat will likely pose within seconds.

Instead of deciding on a photoshoot, just make sure you have your camera near at all times, so you can capture the natural poses your cat makes when they happen.

Extra tip: keep your camera ready when your cat wakes up, so you can capture their yawning face :O

Edit: forgot to say that this is a great picture! So majestic

I’d love to pet them with my tiny rat paws.
