I thought it was well done in the manga.
However, with the anime it was a real chore to get through. Could really empathize with Nagato by the end of it though.
I skipped after 3 of those episodes. Landed on the final one directly. Benefits of streaming.
I cannot begin to imagine the torture of waiting an entire week to watch your favourite show on TV, only to find out it’s the same fucking episode, but animated and voiced a bit differently. 😑
I’ve already specified how I feel about Haruhi as a character, but your point about Yuki is so true.
Oh wow, yeah your breakdown there made me think about my time watching it. I really liked Haruhi’s character because of how bold she was. But looking back at this scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKGjdbCb-Cw she is a menace. If this was a universe I was writing I would of framed her as a young god that needs tempered by experience.
Ever since I imagined a world run by a prepubescent teenage girl yet to have her periods, I have had a hard time sleeping 😂
If that gives you a hard time sleeping I wonder what a story about a prepubescent girl committing war crimes in the name of the fatherland would do to you.
Wtf. What show is this?!

Saga of Tanya the Evil, I’d give it a B+ mostly cause I had to buy the books to continue the story.
Forget the show. I appreciate you sharing an Anilist link.
I thought it was very good, very daring. By having you sit through 8 of them, you can get a sense of how Yuki must feel after 15000 of them. This constructs the context for the movie.
Yeah, it was quite brave of them to try it. I believe there was a writer strike that provoked it at the time too. So they were operating with a skeleton crew. But with how sporadic they aired it, I think 8 was too much. I think they could of done it with 4 and made 2 loops per episode?
