Russia and Iran stirred some shit up in Israel knowing how predictable the global response would be. Suddenly out of ‘nowhere’ Hamas has North Korean weapons and state level intelligence information.

Elon Musk is a pro-Russian muppet.

100% Everything going on right now is to diminish focus and support for Ukraine.

The war has slowed down too. It’s doesn’t need some kind of conspiracy for the media to jump on the next exiting event when the previous one grows stale.

Very possible this is it although I feel like that isn’t too far off the agenda.

No doubt though that Putin is benefiting from the current Gaza situation.

In Germany (and other parts of Europe), there are systems in place to prohibit dependence of the broadcasters On the government.

The Austrian broadcasting service (ORF) is known to be quite sceptical of the conservative government. The former chancellor of Austria actually wanted to coopt it, like Orban did in Hungary and failed to do so. That’s basically, why he’s the former chancellor.

You can compare it to the European Central Bank, or the FED.

It’s not resistant to nepotism, but it’s way better than the corporate hellscape you see in the US media.

It’s quite telling that in Austria the far right wants to stop financing the ORF altogether by talking about how the population is forced to pay ORF fees and that it has a left wing bias.

I think that’s the same in all European countries, at least it is in Denmark. I guess the old adage is true, the truth has a left wing bias.

The government is forcing the people to pay for the public broadcasting. That’s why they are inherently dependant on the government. Something that’s literally funded by the government can not be independent from the government.

I’m living in Germany actually. Don’t get me wrong, I like the ÖRR as alternative to private media. But to say it’s independent from the government is really naive.

I’m not claiming that it’s completely independent. But there are safeguards preventing direct influence of parliament on the media.

So, yes: it depends on the state, but it’s not (directly) influenced by the executive/legislative/judicative branches of government.

Unfortunately there is no one calling the shots. We’re all just drifting.

Billionaire doing the wrong thing is just a really simple story that journalists know how to write. The rest of the world is a convoluted mess.

I mean, I halfway agree with you. The World Economic Forum meets up annually. It’s a real sanitized name for entrenched wealth, sounds super official, like a neighborhood bus line that fancies itself the “generic county transit authority”. I too can call myself an authority on something but that doesn’t make it so. Lol.

No one attending was voted into power, all but a handful were born into it. There doesn’t need to be any one person in charge when all their motivations already align. Humanity is not inherently hierarchle. So they shmooze, exchange tips, fuck each other wives while wearing masks to hide who they are (you really think Kubrick would’ve made Eyes Wide Shut if he didn’t know that that kind of shit happens irl. Theyl discuss strategies on how to fuck over everyone else on the planet so they’ll never have to sweat a drop from hard work unless they want to. They share Panama paper worthy plans and stories from their trips to whomever replaced Epstein. Cuz someone did. I trust the rich two things only, one is be callously, obscenely greedy as fuck and the other: the world’s largest collection of pedophiles and rapists. When you can buy anything, including people’s children’s innocence, with no consequences, what’s left to buy? Nothing. Nothing but

      Power.

id totally give up a genies wish to make everyone attending their annual event, and their entire poison pill blood line, teleport to the bright side surface of mercury, immediately.

My 2nd wish would be to rapture every Christian to the heliopause.

Humanity would be so much better off, idk if I even need the 3rd wish then

Yes, the antisemitism is being focused on to manufacture consent for Israel. It’s not (and can’t be) deep. Liberals equate supporting Israel as supporting the Jewish people, so criticizing Israel is antisemitism. And then they point out all the antisemitism like that supports their argument.

Maybe it’s being focused on because there’s literally Nazi flags being marched down streets in Wisconsin and synagogues being shot at, along with Jewish schools in Canada… I’m sure you don’t have to look too hard to find more examples.

Like you can’t actually deny there’s a wild increase in Antisemitism right now even if you want to claim it’s being used as cover for Israel.

Eta I’m admittedly sensitive to this right now… there was a house that was shot up on my street last month that the cops are investigating as an Antisemitic hate crime because the victim was, at least according to the police, followed home from a pro Israel rally earlier in that day.

There absolutely is an increase in antisemitism, and it’s fucking shitty that that’s not being talked about. Instead we’re policing the voices of protestors, raising anything said, regardless of intent, to be antisemitic. They literally automatically talk about protestors when talking about the rise in antisemitism, when it’s just the freaking nazis again. Can’t talk about the nazis, nope, gotta be those protestors who just don’t want to watch another goddamn Genocide without saying anything.

In my City, it was not a Nazi who followed the Jewish girl home and shot at her. It was a protester. In new York it’s not Nazis accosting Jews on the streets it’s people carrying pro Palestine flags.

I don’t see Nazis marching in rallys with signs saying 'clean the world of Jews ’ which is an age old Antisemitic trope out of the Elder’s of Zion. Those are supporters of Palestine. Chanting gas the Jews in Sydney was done in a crowd of Palestine supporters.

I’m not saying Nazis aren’t a problem at all. I’m pointing out they’re part of the problem and the bigoted sentiments clearly being exhibited by the supporters of Palestine is also a part of it and that absolutely needs to be discussed. If you believe what you’ve written that Antisemitism is a growing problem, then I’d ask you to start looking at the people around you and how they’re displaying their messages. You don’t have to look far to see the hate.

No, genocide is when you systematically kill people of a specific nationality, race or ethnicity. High birth rates and other unrelated causes of population increase don’t erase the crime against humanity that is genocide.
