My 1966 Fender Mustang, 100% original and worn in in all the right places.
I have to cheat and say I have two favorites!
In normal terms, I would say my 1965 Airline, because it feels like owning a bit of history to me (it’s my only vintage). It might be a bit cliche because of The White Stripes, but Jack White was the first guitar player that really influenced me and gave me the bug, so it means something special to me even if it’s a popular/celebritized model.
(Sorry I can’t figure out why Lemmy is rotating it, it’s not rotated on my phone)
My other favorite is the one that I built this year, which I’d been wanting to do for ages and will continue doing as a hobby and maybe eventual retirement activity. It has a ton of mistakes but feels special knowing how it all went together.
My favorite subreddit was r/Luthier, I just started up an equivalent community here, although given current user base I’m guessing all discussion will happen here on guitars until we’re able to support more niche users like that.
My favorite is my ‘22 Gibson SG Tribute. It’s the only Gibson I own, and it was gifted to me by my wife and kids for Father’s Day last year. I have been dreaming of owning one since I was a teenager. I love that guitar!
All mine are modern budget models. As much cool factor as there is to a vintage axe it’s nice not worrying about parts and electronics (and nitrocellulose finishes!) that are older than my parents :-). In terms of sentimental value, nothing beats my first, a 2003 Squier Affinity I got for Christmas:
Also most of mine only have four strings for some reason???
Nothing wrong with budget models! Some of my other favorites in my collection are modern Squiers I’ve modified, they’re great for customizing and making them your own!
I got this 1962 ES-330 from a former co-worker. He bought it new. He had brought it into the office several years ago, and the way it sang, I made him promise that if he ever sold it, I’d get first dibs. Well that day came 2 years ago, and it’s mine now.
Picked up this MIM Tele last year, and its been my main squeeze ever since.
I’ve always wanted a lake placid blue tele, but they dont come by often. It popped up on my local marketplace and I didnt even try to haggle, just asked the guy when he was available.
I used to have a lake placed blue strat that my dad bought me that I had to sell back in leaner times, so its nice to have a spiritual successor to that guitar now that I’m doing better.

Sweet guitar
My acoustic is a 1980 Aria Pro II, it was a custom-order by my grandfather so it has his name as the serial number. It’s the guitar he taught me to play on and it was my inheritance from him when he died.
2012 PRS 513. It has so many tonal options, and I can’t get enough of the neck feel.
