I select subscribed and hot, and all I see are 7-10 hour old posts. I can see minute old posts on other instances, but for some reason the lemmy.world feed is stale.
2nding this. Posts in Hot haven’t moved since I started using lemmy this morning.
Hot rank was recently identified as a slow query and has been getting some attention in https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/2877.
I wonder if it’s timing out and returning partial results or something.
If it’s timing out, it seems to only do it on this instance. Beehaw and sh.itjust.works are doing fine with hot rank
Yeah, I’m speculating. Could be something else going on that’s more instance-specific.
I’ve also noticed this ‘stale’ issue with the ‘Hot’ sorting option. Is this a bug or is this an issue with not enough people posting/interacting with posts?
btw, I’m seeing the upvotes range anywhere from 4 to 322. What’s going on here?
There is something weird going on. Yesterday sorting by hot caused a constant stream of new posts, at least for me in the jerboa mobile app.
