This less lethal design of grenade is designed to send rubber balls flying around a room to subdue it’s inhabitants via pain compliance and disoriented them. Some versions also come with built in OC powder.

It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

    Or a testicle.

What’s the velocity of those balls?

Guess it depends on the impact from the rubber ones.

There’s a reason we stopped calling things ‘non lethal’ and started to say ‘less lethal’. When used right serious injuries remains possible.

I looked it up and there isn’t an exact velocity. I’d imagine it’d depend on where in the grenade it is.

      But I did find this:

They claim an effective range of 50 feet (15 m) so you might be able to calculate the energy needed to send a .32 cal rubber ball of 75 Durometer to get a low end for initial velocity if you make some assumptions on the weight of each ball.

Then you just have to account for the energy expended to send the testicles flying and you’ll have your answer! Thanks!

    OC? You mean Obsessive Compulsive?

Nobody knows what OC even means these days.

OC stands for oleoresin capsicum. It’s the same chemical used in pepper sprays, aka OC sprays or bear mace, to make them ‘hot’.

The difference is in those typically they’ll come in an aerosolized or gel form.

Alrighty, upvoted for educated information 👍

Do keep in mind that it’s 2023, and random short jumbles of capital letters can mean anything these days without explanation…
