    And we breathe in these emissions every fucking day. But the world wants to sell its shitty oil somewhere, so we are the dumping ground. Planned legislation… suck my balls. Parliament moves pretty quickly when they know it makes lots of money for their mates or clamps down on our freedoms. They’ve had years to sort this out, yet Australia remains one of the weakest emissions standards countries in the world.

    On a positive note, the cars we’re buying are already manufactured to meet everyone else’s emission standards. It’s not cost effective otherwise.

      There are very different emissions standards in different places though - adopting a stricter standard that’s in widespread use elsewhere results in a sharp cut in both local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
