I keep following links in comments that just open in the in app browser rather than going to that Lemmy page in the app. Is this just because people are formatting the links wrong? I remember reading something about opening links in the patch notes of an older version but I can’t remember if it said it was implemented or not so I’m not sure if this behaviour is expected or a bug

    I’m new here and I’ve only been using the app for a couple of days but I’ve seen 2 kinds of links. One that starts with http and one that starts with !xxx@. The first one opens in the app great but the second opens in the embedded browser. I think it’s probable we have to wait for another update to have that kind of links working.

    With the update rate we’re having I’m sure it won’t be a long time.

      Ah that makes sense, I guess it will be hard to make the standard https links work because there’s so many instances

    I’ve been actively working out making this work. However, I think I might have a new idea on how to do it without issue. I’m going to experiment with something and see if we can create a foolproof method of doing this.
