So, start guessing: How much will it be?

My guess:

  • Initial release will be a midrange model at around 80k
  • there will also be a top model at about 100k, available later
  • and of course E will promise a “working man’s” edition sometime in the future. It will be said to be around 40k and will be postponed over&over again.

Looks like the F150 Lightning is $60,000-ish today.

Therefore, Elon will do everything he can to have a model that competes with F150 Lightning. I’m talking “Phone-call only $35k Model 3” tricks, limited production (likely losing thousands of dollars per sale), etc. etc and then gone after a couple of weeks kinda trickery.

Elon Musk doesn’t fight fair. He’ll sell 10 cars at a good price and then advertise to the world that the car came in at this low price.

I’m guessing $55k or $60k (though limited run / phone-call only kinda deal). Anything to come in at a lower price than F150 Lightning.

I totally get your point. That’s why I suspect some ominous cheap model…

He definitely has to do some trickery to at the same time cash in on the CT hype and give the Simps an argument why it’s still cheaper than all the other ev trucks.

$70,000, and he’ll blame huge increase on inflation. Even though it was just a marketing trick presenting the truck with an artificially low price to drive interest.

Around 150k for the highest trim, first ones to be sold. Then an offer of 65k but it will come to 85k after bait and switch fuckery.

Highest trim would include a massive battery, which would limit production numbers.

But since production will be slow this year anyway you might be right.

And it’s the only way to reach the ranges & towing capacities the fanbase expects…

Yeah, and there are a number of customers who are willing to pay a premium for the first ones to roll out. It would be the smart thing to do, then again, look at who we’re talking about.

70k start price I’d wager. I doubt any version of the truck comes with 500mi range either.
