Hey everyone

I’m an aspiring video maker in the DIY space (aka filming my workbench at home). I’m trying to produce high quality videos, so I film at 4k60fps.

Now I am wondering if its worth it to get the Pro version to increase quality? I am not sure if it would really increase quality though, since the 12MP sensor should be good enough for 4k.

Is the 48MP sensor that the Pro has only really usable for still images?

From all the hype you’d expect a world of difference between the 11 Pro to the 14 Pro, but when I upgraded the actual difference is not even really noticeable… The 14 will do perfectly!

Shooting in low light is the killer anyway, even of my 14 Pro, so I’d say spend the extra money on lighting for sure. (and a good microphone if you’re speaking, good audio makes even low quality video surprisingly watchable)

yeah I need to get some better lighting, but so far its acceptable what I have.

Maybe a better microphone would be worth a thought as well, but the built in mics seem alright as well, at least for tool noises. I dont really speak. If I wanted to speak I’d probably do a voice over and for that I have an AT-2020 at my pc.

Honestly sounds like you’re pretty well set up! I’m a fan of DIY videos too, would be keen to see your work
