He kind of does, doesn’t he? I was definitely going for a Muppets or Sesame Street kind of monster.

I feel like I shouldn’t get it wet or feed it after midnight!

Now you’ve got me wanting to make another attempt at an evil christmas tree monster.

I like your Christmas monsters! The last one looked really evil :)

I wasn’t really going for evil myself to be honest, it was supposed to be more like a muppets kind of monster. Here’s one of my earlier attempts:

Though it’s fun to try and make it look as evil as possible:

Update: Not what I’m going for, but too funny not to share.

This is more like what I wanted.

Yeah I had to specify arms and legs. Obviously I assumed all Christmas tree monsters would have appendages, as would any sane human, but the AI gods disagreed.

For mine I put “michael Whelan, Junji Ito, Tim Burton” at the beginning of the prompt, on a website that uses Stable Diffusion for its rendering. I also put eyes in a negative prompt, because I wanted just a tree with a scary toothy mouth. Instead I got the above nightmare.

Nothing. I’m about to start up on it now.
