Starcraft LAN parties were always great.
Halo LAN parties are also right up there, for me. Made some good memories, even found a team for a time. We did local tournies, never anything big, but it was always fun showing up together at a party and get to face off against each other.

When my wife and I started dating like 20 years ago, I hauled my desktop computer and CRT monitor over to her house so we could play against each other in Sid Meyer’s Civilization. Good times.
