Starts to feel like a game on early access.
Meanwhile BG3 has gotten massively quest patched, added user requested features, a few new companion endings, etc, all within 2023. And that game was in better shape at launch than SF was.
Too late guys, I already visited every planet, did all major quest lines. Why would I go back?
This isn’t for you. It’s for the people they still need to pick up the game. And when they do, those people will remark at how much content there is. Early adopters are suckers anymore, who usually say exactly what you are saying. And I mean no offense. I’m a sucker, too.
See Fallout 76
Thats a good question to those who have spent 1K+ hours in Skyrim and Fallout 4. Why go back? Skyrim didn’t even have a base building system.
I’ll bet you’ll be back for the first big expansion. And that seems to be BGS’ bet too.
Except those were vastly more interesting worlds
And that’s Starfield’s big problem. I’ve played the game and other than most people here I genuinely enjoyed it (and I’ll die on my “at least the role-playing aspect is better than Fallout 4” hill), but it’s also the first Bethesda game that I feel I’ve completed. I’m pretty sure that I’ve finished the handcrafted content. There’s no random interesting caves, camps or whatevers with unique design, little quest or just a bit of lore to stumble upon, just endless procedurally generated wastes dotted with the same three dungeons on repeat.
