I am a 52 y/o child free man (reddit refugee), married to a 42 y/o child free woman. We are retiring in the next 3-4 years.
Happy to talk to any other child free people or answer questions about a child free lifestyle.

37yo with an older partner. Never desired kids, and if I ever do, I will be adopting because I don’t need to add my genes to the pool. I’m a teacher, so I raise a lot of kids 8am-3pm and that’s enough for me! People think I don’t like kids, but it’s kind of like goats - they are so cute! I love hanging out with them for a bi! No, I don’t want to take one home, thanks!
I’m a 28m and married as well.
Any advice on how to retire that early? It seems like were barely able to keep our heads above water some days.
Not much to contribute other than jello fellow DINK. Good toeet you. 50/46 here and living firmly in one-more-year zone myself.
hi there!
i am 27/nb, married for over 5 years to my partner (28). i got permanently sterilized last year and i love it. we aren’t well off by any means, but we’re comfortable enough, have a house, and have the time to do what we want without being tied down by a kid.
we are both in the field of IT, so hoping to work our way up and start making real money in a handful of years. we would like to move to a different country as well (currently we are in the US). we love the freedom of the DINK life!
We will most likely be retiring to Spain or Portugal. We have saved quite well for retirement but can’t stay in the US in case we get sick, that could wipe out all of our savings.
I’m a “SINK” I guess … single income no kids.
Lol that’s great.

I recently applied for a promotion at work that would bump up my pay by about 50%. Would be a game changer for me.
Just found the sub! So glad to have my peeps back! Childfree 58 oncology researcher and retired high tech 65 year old hubby. Tubes tied when I was 24 before the internet existed. Always love the conversations on this sub, and folks can feel free to ask me about the process of me decision through the last 35 years since I got my tubes tied. Absolutely ZERO regrets.
