I see all these beautiful pictures of plants and gardens and wanted to upload a picture of mine too, but it always fails. I tried smaller pictures too. What am I missing? Is there something that just aromatically displays a link and doesn’t show that it’s a link or something? Sorry for the basic question, I’m new to lemmy and just wanted to contribute.

There’s a size limit for pictures, this varies from instance to instance, on mine lemm.ee it’s 100kb.

I just tried from lemme.world and was having issues, then switched to sh.itjust.works, and while i was able to upload the picture, i could not submit the post due to some other error :(
Are you using an app to try and upload? For some reason wefwef won’t upload pictures for me either (not just in this community but in others as well). Liftoff (another app) or the browser do work for me. Which is a shame since so far I’m liking wefwef the most for browsing, finding communities and commenting.

I have tried from 3 different browsers, 3 different apps, against 3 different lemmy instances and nothing worked :( I have not tried liftoff, can try that next
