Keeps your status green indefinitely. As a bonus, it also keeps your device from going into sleep mode (and timing out of VPN if your company uses that).

    Not a great tip; as managers, we can see the activity of direct reports, and being in long meetings with no attendees is a dead giveaway.

    I leave mine on Appear Away most of the time. People in my work area know they can message me anytime. People who think I’m away will not expect an immediate reply.

      I personally did that too - as long as you don’t have a micromanage-y boss!
