I kinda like not having an infinite scroll (just like the web u.i does), feels less addictive.

You can turn off infinite scrolling in Voyager under Settings -> General

          Summit dev here. We’ve got:

          • browsing via pages
          • browsing as one long page but with page indicators
          • browsing as one long page but you have to manually load the next page (you have to tap a button)

Hey, I just downloaded your app. Looks very good, could use small tweaks and fixes to the U.I, but it’s very solid, congrats.

If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, could you please list out the issues you’ve noticed? You can send the feedback as a comment/post in [email protected] or DM me.

Sure, sorry for taking so long.

The only thing that I can remember right now is that the upvote/downvote count disappears when I use the bright theme (the font color remains white on a white backgruond). Change their colors to blue/red when the count is positive/negative (just a suggestion).

Also, if I scroll all the way to the top to refresh my feed, I see two loading icons being displayed, looks like a bug.

                I`m using a phone with Android 11.

Thank you for the feedback! Nice catch on the light theme issue. I’m usually on dark theme so I didn’t catch that one. I’ll also take a look at the other feedback as well. Feel free to send more issues you find anytime you’d like. You can DM me, post it to [email protected] or comment on any of the release posts.

I made browsing by pages a default in Summit and a lot of users wanted infinite browsing :(. I think giving the users the choice between the two is a good solution. It does feel like most people seem to prefer infinite scrolling however.

I like an infinite scroll with a strong indicator of what page I’m on… I still feel guilty if i doom scroll too far

If you want to give Summit a try, it does have settings for both page indicators (it shows a big page number heading whenever you scroll past a page) and even manual page loading (when you scroll to the end you have to tap a button to load more). You can control these settings individually in Settings > Post List > Auto-load more posts / Show page numbers.

I prefer infinite scroll. Pages wouldn’t make me view less, it would just be more clicks and more inconvenient. So yeah, everyone can use what they like, I’m glad We have The option.
