Please, I beg you, if you haven’t gotten vaccinated for COVID and flu yet, get vaccinated.

You know what’s funny to me is that anti-vaxxers keep telling me that COVID is just like the flu. Have they ever had the flu? It’s miserable. More to the point, it has killed a lot more people than COVID, so maybe that’s not the best comparison if you want to downplay the severity?

I got both back in October, and will keep doing so every year. Felt like shit for a day or so but still WAY better than the alternative.

I’m so glad my employer gave everyone the option of getting their vaccines on the company dime, during work hours. Most everyone got ‘em, and it’s resulted in hardly anyone actually getting sick so far this season.

Could have fooled me, half the people I know have a cough cold right now.

I have a feeling that there are a lot of people out there who are no longer testing when they get sick or just not telling people when they have covid. Most places of employment stopped COVID sick time pay in the US and people who aren’t going to get paid if they are out are going to show up when they’re sick.

Isn’t even near the first peak imo

With multiple diseases spreading the same way, there’s no reason we can’t have a double peak.

Reminds me of the Hobbits talking about “second breakfast”.
