Nikki Haley is on the rise, looking for an upset that could derail former President Trump’s path to the Republican presidential nomination.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that the New Hampshire primary is her best— and perhaps only — chance.

Haley’s advance in the Granite State has been striking.

A new American Research Group (ARG) poll released Thursday put Haley within 4 points of Trump in New Hampshire — a jaw-dropping result given that Trump has a lead of about 50 points in national polls.

The ARG poll showed Trump with 33 percent support in New Hampshire and Haley at 29 percent, with the rest of the field well behind.

Come on Nikki. Say something racist. Raise a Nazi salute. Call immigrants rapists. That’s the only way to get your base excited enough.

Don’t be fooled. She will kiss the orange butthole in a heartbeat to be VP. She already did sick up during his previous administration.

She’s not really running to try to come in first. She’s trying for second place, so if something happens to him, like going to prison or being barred from too many ballots, she becomes the most likely nominee.

I’m sure she’d love to come in first, but its not strictly necessary.

I remain skeptical of her sudden rise in the NH polls. Certainly nothing similar happening nationally…

        Trump

There’s not enough anti-Trump to gain traction.

Unless, of course, he’s not on the ballot in enough states. He’s already off it in Colorado. I think there’s a very good chance he will not be allowed on the ballot in Georgia, which will be a much bigger hit.

Is that in the works? Are they really working to take him off of the ballots, or that what people wish would happen?

Virginia too? I think I saw that yesterday. Where’s the “you are here” guy when we need him?

I’m not so sure in California. There isn’t much but a letter from Lt. Gov. Kounalakis to California Sec. of State Weber asking her to look into all legal avenues to remove Trump while in response Gov. Newsome said that they should not remove him.

I want to celebrate, but that’s yet to be fully adjudicated and if he’s not on the primary they have plans to do a caucus instead.

He has like 85% approval among devout R’s. How much traction is possible when most of them praise him and will do anything to avoid criticizing.

          This is the only answer.

Most likely it will be donnie diapers. The teabaggers adore him no matter what he does.

Obviously she’s right wing, but I’m not American. The main thing for me are her stances on NATO, Ukraine, China and Russia.

She seems like an obviously better choice than Trump. She’s not almost dead, she’s a woman, I don’t see how she wouldn’t be able to beat Biden in a landslide.

She’s quite obviously the better choice for the republicans, so I assume they’ll pick Trump instead.

Hopefully Trump will become incapacitated, die, or not be able to run. That way Haley and the republican establishment can pretend not to be relieved and can blame it all on the democrats. Trump voters can vote for her as a protest, and the rest of the world will be able to let out a sigh of relief.

Ha! It’s not like he’s difficult to upset. Just mention something like the pee tapes, or his smell and he’ll start going off on one.

Just wait until the teabaggers really get going on her ethnicity, her “real” name, etc…this smacks a little of the Enlightened Moderates ™ talking up DeSADIST about a year ago and mansplaining to everyone within earshot about how he was the great white hope for a united America under the guidance of the “independents” (like themselves and DeSADIST) because something something they are tired of donnie diapers’ “tweets” - as if that was the real problem with donnie - and the Democrats are “too extreme”, lol.

Also, I’m reminded of 2016 and how the “liberal media” kept going on and on about how some new hot thing was going to push donnie out of the primary race.

I’m just saying - I’ll believe it when I see it. I’d love for donnie diapers to not be in the general. Nikki is a softer face of the same old hateful party, but somehow I doubt she’ll be carrying out an anti-American thing like Project 2025, fomenting insurrections, calling in the military on our soil to fight “antifa” and BLM, plotting coups, carrying out revenge against all her enemies and so on. Since she’s a Republican, I don’t trust her all that much, of course.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Another poll in recent days, from Saint Anselm College, showed Haley at 30 percent support, double the backing she drew in a survey from the same organization in September.

“Haley has got real momentum, and she has been building it over a period of months,” said Jim Merrill, a GOP strategist in New Hampshire who is not working for any of the presidential campaigns.

Meanwhile, the main super PAC supporting Trump begin airing an attack ad against Haley this week in New Hampshire.

In addition, there is little reliable polling so far that incorporates reaction to Tuesday’s Colorado Supreme Court ruling, which found that Trump’s name should be removed from the Republican primary ballot in the state.

The court said that the 14th Amendment, which bars people who have engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” from holding office, disqualifies Trump from the presidency.

This fact alone gives the primary inherent unpredictability — and, in effect, advantages candidates with crossover appeal like Haley over more polarizing figures such as Trump.

The original article contains 981 words, the summary contains 168 words. Saved 83%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Republican primaries are confusing. I want to enjoy their setbacks, but a setback for one is a gain for another, and I hate them all so much.
