Unfortunately, no. I’m a sucker for the plastic blow molds, and I didn’t have a witch.
That does give me an idea though: Giant Jack Skeleton. He could even be dressed up as Sandy Claws in December.
I will admit I have only bought one halloween decoration so far, but that’s only because everything I’ve come across is too similar to what I already have.
The author does state at the end that they don’t believe in an afterlife. The title is meant to be more provocative to draw in theistic readers.
I agree with your comment. He escaped all accountability while inflicting suffering and feeling morally justified in it. Makes me sick to my stomach.

privacy@lemmy.ca•What is it with websites restricting passwords to 8 - 16 characters? Is there some technical limitation to their system??
6·7 months agoWhat’s funny is a character isn’t necessarily a byte now. It could be 1, 2, 3, or 4 bytes. Or only 2 or 4 bytes if we include utf-16 and 32. Character encodings are fun!

6·7 months agoThere was one point in time when Intel’s website only allowed up to 14 characters and disallowed certain special characters. If I had to guess why, fear of inadequate error checking and fear of sql injection.

It’s a legend, but a fun one.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Joan#Legends
Some versions of the legend suggest that subsequent popes were subjected to an examination whereby, having sat on a so-called sedia stercoraria or ‘dung chair’ containing a hole, a cardinal had to reach up and establish that the new pope had testicles before announcing “Duos habet et bene pendentes” (“He has two and they dangle nicely”),[17] or “habet” (“he has them”) for short.[18]
@[email protected] ☝ the chair
I shit you not, it took the Catholic Church until the 1800’s to finally accept that the Earth revolves around the fucking Sun. Maybe the 1750’s if someone’s feeling generous, but they were still censoring Galileo’s and Copernicus’s books at that time.
Technically they didn’t make DOS but bought it, rebrand it then had to support it.
