We all know these sanctions are only in place because Venezuela is socialist and as such, represents a threat to our capitalist oligarchs.

These narcoterrorism charges are joke, unlike US sanctions that have killed 38 million people worldwide in the last 50 years.

As is the case with most pro-labor politicians, the people who are most vocally against them are not the people who will be most helped by them. Those people don’t have time to find niche social media sites to go post on, they’re too busy working.

Sure they voted, but they didn’t vote for this. Remember, boomers are the most propagandized generation in the most propagandized country on Earth. Ignorance shouldn’t be an excuse, but most boomers genuinely do not know when they vote against their own interests. They are pawns, while the Kings and Queens laugh to see them blamed. And that pisses me off a lot more than ignorance.

Democracy in a capitalist economy is an illusion. Boomers didn’t vote for this, it was foisted on them. Neither party fulfills the promises they make on the campaign trail, unless the promise is to an oligarch.

That’s the typical story whenever socialism seems to be gaining traction: the liberal and social democrat parties join forces with the fascists because they are fundamentally all bourgeois parties.

Well, power is their end goal, and that is achieved through money. Fascism and white supremacy are societal levers that they pull in order to divide and subjugate the working class. I’m sure some of the oligarchs are true believers of that shit, but systemically, fascism and racism are tools used to assert power whenever capitalism is in crisis. This is supported by the historical record, too.

A socialist system would guarantee your fundamental needs, while expecting you to contribute back to society in whatever way you are best able to.

Ownership means the power to make decisions regarding how an enterprise operates, including how and where the profits are directed.

Israel, Bibi, and the US military are all lapdogs of Western capitalists.

Socialism is communal ownership of the means of production. Instead of oligarchs owning everything, we all own everything. Instead of the profits of your labor being siphoned off by the rich, you get to keep them. Instead of an endless rat race to survive while the elites amass more and more wealth while killing the planet, our needs are taken care of while respecting the sustainable limits of nature.

And the cure is socialism.

You know what rattles my belief in humanity? Supposed leftists regurgitating capitalist propaganda because they are afraid of being labeled a “genocide-denier” without even doing the research to see if the claim that there is no genocide in Xinjiang holds any water.

If you agree that capitalism is bad and that capitalist media exists to uphold the status quo, why do you just blindly trust the capitalists when they say there is a genocide? Especially when they deny the genocide in Gaza that is literally being televised every day. Obviously capitalist media cannot be relied upon for the truth.

Democrats may be better for traditional markers of the economy, but 50 years of neoliberalism from both parties has resulted in a K-shaped economy. One that is great if you already have wealth (which is what things like GDP and inflation tell you), but one that is terrible and getting worse if you are a regular person. Neither party has done anything to actually fix the systemic issues that caused this, so when status-quo Dems claim to be better for working people, we can all see that for the lie it is.
